Life is a journey full of challenges, dreams, adventure and fun. At CNIB Deafblind Community Services (DBCS), we believe life for people who are Deafblind should be no different.
DBCS is one of Canada’s leading providers of specialized support and emergency services for people who are living with a loss of both hearing and sight. Our dedicated professionals work with people who are Deafblind both one-on-one and in group settings to facilitate communication, access, independence, and participation in all parts of daily life. Our services range from intervenor services to literacy and basic skills training to emergency intervenor services in critical situations.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at DBCS
At DBCS, we believe that creating a truly inclusive environment means ensuring everyone—staff, volunteers, and clients—feels respected, heard, and valued. We are committed to building a culture where all social identities are respected, and diversity is not just recognized but actively celebrated.
About Our Committee
Our Diversity and Inclusion Committee is made up of seven staff members from across the organization. Each brings unique experiences and perspectives that help guide our work toward equity and accessibility.
Together, we’re taking important steps to build a stronger, more inclusive organization.
