We’re excited to announce that DBCS received funding from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program to launch a new Senior Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Program.

This initiative will empower Deafblind seniors to become mentors—sharing lived experience, offering support, and strengthening community connections for others navigating dual sensory loss. Through peer mentorship, participants will foster resilience, inclusion, and empowerment within the Deafblind community.

We’re honoured to receive this support and look forward to building a program that connects and uplifts seniors in meaningful and lasting ways.
