Elsie Maye

Elsie Maye“Being Deafblind is terrible. I can’t think of anything worse. I have trouble hearing and reading things. It affects my social life because I don’t know what people are saying to me, so I miss conversations. It’s not a common disability so people don’t know what to do and what I need. But I can function with Intervenors. I depend on my Intervenors so much it’s unbelievable. I can’t just get on a bus and go somewhere by myself so I’m so glad to have the Intervenors to help me. If I wasn’t involved with the CNIB and intervenors I would feel like a hermit, they help me get out and shop, and exercise. All of the girls are great!”
